The design decision

Inbound call-center automation should be judged by what happens to the customer request, not by how many calls an AI answers. A fluent conversation can still end unresolved, route to the wrong team or trigger an incorrect downstream action. The evaluation should therefore define a small set of real intents and measure verified resolution, successful human handoff, unresolved containment, abandonment and integration failure separately.

Workflow and information contract

Select representative inbound intents and document the required knowledge, actions and fallback owner for each. Route the voice workflow to authoritative systems for account or transaction actions and create a structured human handoff when the task crosses confidence, policy or permission boundaries. Keep the call provider status separate from the business outcome so a completed phone connection does not automatically count as a resolved support case.

Acceptance test and expected result

Run the same synthetic intent set through normal, unavailable-integration, unavailable-agent and explicit-human-request conditions. Verify that every call has a recorded business disposition, failed transfers create a fallback task, and reporting distinguishes automated resolution from unresolved calls that simply stayed inside the automated channel.

Limits and human handoff

Do not use containment rate alone as a success metric. Sensitive account actions, payments, complaints, regulated decisions and exception handling require business-approved controls. The organisation should define when a human must be offered and validate the production integration and escalation behavior before increasing traffic.

Prepare a VoiceAvo implementation review

Use this guide to prepare a specific VoiceAvo implementation review, not as a promise that every described action is enabled in every account. Confirm the selected telephony provider, supported integration, staff responsibilities and failure path before activation. Begin with synthetic records and approved test destinations. Keep a dated record of expected and actual results, and approve production use only after the business owner has reviewed the evidence. For this workflow, bring the following information: intent, authoritative system, attempted action, business result, human handoff, unresolved status and final disposition.

Use a repeatable acceptance checklist

Open the workflow acceptance kit and review the implementation checklist. These are scenarios to run, not claimed product test results.
